These terms and conditions govern your use of this website (mirandagerber.com) and any booking, purchase, class, or workshop you make or attend through it. By using this site or booking a class, workshop, or artwork, you agree to these terms.
This site is operated by Miranda Gerber, trading as Miranda Gerber Art, a sole proprietor based at Grootfontein Country Estate, 100 Tanya Street, Pretoria East, South Africa. You can reach us at mirandagerber@gmail.com or 082-550-2465.
Bookings for classes and workshops are made through the reservations form on this site and are only confirmed once full payment has been received via PayFast, our third-party payment provider. Class sizes are limited, and seats are allocated on a first-paid, first-served basis.
Workshop dates, times, venues, and prices are as described on the relevant event page at the time of booking. We reserve the right to postpone or reschedule a class or workshop — for example due to insufficient bookings, illness, or venue availability — in which case we'll contact you directly to arrange a new date, a transfer, or a refund.
If you need to cancel, please let us know as soon as possible via WhatsApp or email so we can offer your seat to someone else. As a small, intimate studio, refund and transfer requests are considered on a case-by-case basis — please contact us directly and we'll do our best to find a fair outcome, such as moving you to a future date. Bookings cancelled by us (see section 2) will be refunded in full or transferred, at your choice.
Payments are processed securely by PayFast (payfast.io), an independent South African payment gateway. We do not receive or store your card or banking details — these are handled entirely by PayFast under their own terms and privacy policy. Prices are listed in South African Rand (ZAR) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
Painting is a hands-on, physical activity involving materials such as paints, water, and sharp tools (e.g. craft knives, pins). You attend classes and workshops at your own risk. We take reasonable care to run a safe studio environment, but we're not liable for any injury, loss, or damage to personal property that isn't a direct result of our negligence.
We ask that all students treat the studio, materials, and fellow students with respect. We reserve the right to refuse entry or ask someone to leave if their behaviour is disruptive or unsafe.
Original artworks shown in the gallery are one-of-a-kind pieces. Once marked "Sold," a piece is no longer available. Colours may appear slightly different on screen compared to in person due to differences in screen calibration and lighting. Enquiries about purchasing available pieces can be made via WhatsApp or the contact form.
All artwork, photography, and written content on this site is the intellectual property of Miranda Gerber unless otherwise credited, and may not be reproduced, copied, or used commercially without written permission.
This site uses a small number of third-party services to operate: Formspree to process contact and newsletter form submissions, and PayFast to process workshop payments. Your use of those specific features is also subject to those providers' own terms. See our Privacy Policy for more detail on what's shared with them and why.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Miranda Gerber Art is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this website or attendance at a class, workshop, or event, except where that loss results from our negligence or wilful misconduct.
We may update these terms from time to time — for example as our class offerings change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the latest version. Continuing to use the site or book a class after an update means you accept the revised terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
